The Yarraman & District Historical Society Inc. was established in December 1995. The Society maintains the Yarraman Heritage Centre, a museum that conserves and houses a collection of memorabilia relevant to the Yarraman township and District. Additionally, the Society:
- Preserves and Interprets Local History: Documents, records, and shares the cultural heritage of Yarraman and the surrounding district.
- Archives Family Lineages: Compiles detailed histories of the region’s pioneering and local families.
- Curates Historical Collections: Collects, catalogues, and displays items that tell the story of Yarraman, connecting local heritage to the broader history of Queensland and Australia.
We host community gatherings, social activities, and district events that bring people together, build strong connections, and support local well-being.
