Research Room

The Yarraman Heritage Centre has a dedicated Research Room. The Research Room houses a library of books and newspaper articles detailing the history of Yarraman and district; family history; as well as military history.

The research centre has a photograph collection which consists of photographs relating to Yarraman and district, pioneering families of Yarraman and district, and military history.

The Research Rentre is located on the second floor and is opened on Tuesdays from 10.00 am – 2.00 pm, bookings are essential.

Volunteers are able to assist members and non-members with enquires regarding the history of Yarraman and district.  Research enquiries generally relate to:

  • houses,
  • businesses,
  • families,
  • events and
  • heritage.

Research enquiries may be submitted by post, telephone, visits or email.

Research services are free for members and up to $10 for non-members. Photocopying services are available and are 20 cents for members and 50 cents for non-members for A4. Copying of images (by email or USB) are free for members and up to $10 for non-members. Printing of images on photographic paper is $5 for members and $10 for non-members.
